Founding Efforts Acknowledgement
Waseela began in 2020 as a small pilot project, then known as the Yemen Support Initiative, founded by Heba Al-Junaidi, Maryam Abdullah, and Manila Al-Darbi.
The founders were instrumental in establishing the initiative and guiding its early development. In 2021, a broader team was formed to expand Waseela’s programs, formalize its structure, and support its transition into a registered charity in 2023.
While the founders have since stepped away from active roles, their shared dedication and vision remain at the heart of Waseela’s mission and impact
