The Meaning of Waseela
(وسيلة)
Waseela (وسيلة) in Arabic is used in everyday language to indicate any means or channel through which something is accomplished or achieved. At Waseela Relief Association, we embody this concept as a catalyst for positive change. Waseela, to us, is the vital connection that bridges compassion to action. We understand that it’s not just about providing a temporary fix but creating sustainable change.
Our Operating Model: Empowering Lives, Enriching Families
We are currently updating our operating model to prioritize support for families in launching income-generating projects, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed. More updates will follow soon.
To date, our model has allocated 70% of donations to income-generating projects and 30% to immediate relief. We have recognized that our greatest impact lies in enhancing income-generating initiatives. Moving forward, we will no longer provide exclusive immediate relief donations. Instead, we will focus solely on supporting families through income-generating projects. If necessary, immediate relief assistance will be provided only to families we support through these initiatives, ensuring that our approach remains holistic and empowering.
